Tan Wang Cheow, Chairman of Food Empire, walked my daughter/intern Aurora through his journey from roving salesman to managing a $1.5 billion coffee empire. His share price hit a record high today.

I also recently caught up with Wang Cheow’s son Daxter, who was my first intern when I managed DMG’s research team 20 years ago. He has spent nearly a decade in fund management in New York, and it’s gratifying to see him doing so well—much like his dad’s share price.
